Alumni Scholarship interview

I got an email for an alumni scholarship interview. Does that mean i am accepted or do everyone who applied for the scholarship get one? thanks!

congrats! no one's contacted me to schedule an interview yet. which group was it from?

if i'm not mistaken, you won't get a scholarship decision without getting an admissions decision unless it's a no. don't take my word for it, though... don't get your hopes up until someone that knows for sure posts.

It was from the group in Atlanta. Hopefully you'll get one soon. Good luck!

My S had his interview for the alumni scholarship about 2 weeks ago and they gave him some paperwork that stated "acceptance into USC was a prerequisite to receiving the scholarship(?)" So I take that to mean they don't have much say....However, he did get in to USC about a week ago. Coincidence??

well i am up for an a north texas alumni scholarship which i will interview for on the 24th, and teh gist of the e-mail was that consideration did not mean you were accepted, and they probably will not award scholarships until after april 1 when final letter are mailed out. but the way i see it, if your resume and credentials etc were good enough to merit consideration for a scholarship so closely tied to usc (although not officially connected to the admissions office), your chances of being accepted are very good, since you were obviously in the top pool of scholarship applicants. basically, if you're impressive enough to be in the top pool for a scholarship, chances are you're in the top pool of applicants in general. that's my logic anyway.

How do you get an alumni scholarship interview? Did you have to apply to it?

Yes-Separate app due around the December 10th deadline.

haha dammit! thanks though.
