Am I a Cooper student?

Cooper Union...

Normally, I would not be looking at top-notch schools, because unfortunately, my GPA is not very flattering, but through many conversations and a visit to their Open House, Cooper Union has become one of my favorite universities. I got the impression that they strongly value SAT scores, and while at the Open House, I asked the admissions director if this was true, and he stated that SATs were a very close second to GPA. So I've decided to apply Early Action, and without a doubt this would be the school I would attend if I had the opportunity.

I wish to attend the School of Engineering.

So any feedback on whether or not I look like a Cooper Union student would be very much appreciated.

Info

I was voted Captain of my school's Engineering Team this year, which has consistently placed in the top 5 in the National Engineering Design Challenge, as well as participating in the MIT-Lemelson InvenTeams program (12th).

I was one of the three Engineering team members selected to present our project at the MIT InvenTeams convention (11th).

I have my own business/website where I sell virtual currency (I act as an exchange in essence), 100% started/run by me. To date, I have averaged $1000 net profit per month (I've been doing this for 3 months).

Participated in the 2007 Yale Physics Olympics (team of 4, 12th).

One of four members representing our school in an academic TV game show produced by Cablevision (11th and 12th).

One of four members participating in the Moody’s Mega Math Challenge (11th grade).

Regular Staples Math Team (9th and 10th) member in after-school math competition team.

Treasurer of Future Business Leaders of America Club (12th), newly formed this year.

100 hours of community service at local hospital.

Thanks a lot, and I'd appreciate any feedback!
It's ok to be cruel, but please be honest.

PS: I only included the information that Cooper Union would know about. I have other things like a 5 on the AP Statistics Test, I've raised over $1000 in one day for the Engineering Team, etc. But they wouldn't know about that without me shoving it into the questions they ask me, which don't ask for that information....

-Prospective Student?

Since I showed my GPA, the schools will also notice on my transcript a D+ as my final grade for US History Honors in Sophomore year. Cooper Union doesn't ask if there is anything we would like to explain, so unless I put it into the "Is there anything else you would like the Admissions Committee to know about you?" question (they mean that in a good way, I didnt include the entire question), they won't know why that happened.

Recommendations:

11th Grade AP Statistics Teacher: Will most likely talk about how I engage myself in the material, have unique thinking, and excel.

Science Department Director: Unfortunately, due to certain circumstances (don't ask) neither of my Physics (Regular, and then AP) can write me a letter, so I turned to the Director of my school's science department, who knows me from Engineering Team, and he agreed. Will most likely talk about my involvement with Engineering Team, my leadership, and my strong abilities in the Sciences.

Guidance Counselor: I have no idea what she'll write.

Peer: (Best friend really, a supplemental) Will most likely talk about my innovative skills (every design we've used for our projects on Engineering Team belongs to me), and my business and generosity (I spend all of the money I earn on Birthday/Holiday presents, this friend actually recieved an Ipod Touch as a present two months ago).

Can anyone chance me for Cooper Union?
Does anyone have any comments on how I would do some other colleges I'm applying to?
