The thing is i grew up in a household in which money was kind of scarce until recently (were doing much better now) so i didnt get much of an opportunity to participate in afterschool activities, sports, etc.. and whatnot for most of my childhood.

Im gonna be junior class vice prez... so yah... hopefully thatll show my "leadership potential"...

As for clubs at my school:

I volunteer at a Korean language school on saturday mornings (3 hours a week.... since 8th grade)

I wanna go pre-med w/ a minor psychology...

I know that a lot of my stuff is pretty run-of-the-mill but i was still wondering how much of a chance i have into getting into my top colleges choices and what might help boost my chances of getting admitted into the following colleges:

Brown
Stanford
Harvard
Princeton
U-Penn
Yale
Columbia
NYU
UC Berkeley
UCLA
UC San Diego

and maybe...
Northwestern
Cornell
Duke
Emory
Rice
John Hopkins

Sorry i wrote so much... but im really worried about if im aiming too high because i really want to get into these colleges. im just not sure how good my odds are.... sigh...
could u guys possibly tell me how i could improve my overall chances of getting admitted into these colleges? thx! :P

too early... figure out what you want.. take the SAT's/ ACT's.. study you butt off for them... also take your time and figure out what you want..... then narrow your list... also dont worry about aiming too high... the more ambitious the better... good luck..

Get some safteys in there
UCSD/NYU is at least a match for you but definitely not Saftey material
You could get rejected from everyone of those schools

willkim78:

UCB/UCLA: Match
UCSD: Safe Match

shoe in for hahvahd!
