Am I barking up the right tree(s)?

My stats are, briefly-

SAT: V:670 M:690 W:750 (2110)
HS GPA: 3.9, top 5%

Community College GPA:
1st semester - 3.4 (depression)
2nd semester - 3.8
3rd semester - 4.0
4th semester - (expected 4.0)

Upward trend. Not sure whether or not I will mention the depression.

I am in the honors college at a local CC and was offered a full scholarship.

ECs:
Former Congressional Page
Black Belt, Tae Kwon Do
Senate Chairman, Student govt
Op Ed Editor, Newspaper
Founded volunteer group at local middle school, approximately 1000 hours community service completed by end of year.

Recs:
Close with former congressman, getting his recommendation
Others (teachers) will be strong

Strong Essays.

Anyway, so I am looking at the following schools for transfer:

Georgetown
GWU
NYU
UMD college park
Hopkins
Villanova
Penn
American

What do you guys think of the schools I chose?
Which match my stats the best and which are way out of reach or big time safeties? I am really not familiar with how I stack up.
I'm looking to enter politics, any other suggestions on schools?

To see how you stack up, simply Google the college's common data sets.

Several of these will be big time reach schools - because they have very low transfer accceptance rates (Hopkins, Penn, Georgetown, possibly NYU).

I don't know the transfer acceptance rates of all of the others, but I would expect that only American has any chance of being a real safety.

You are a strong candidate, but you are swimming against the tide of very low acceptance rates at many of the schools you've listed.

you're in at cp...ppl here might cheer you up
