I'm applying ED to UPenn, and EA to UChicago, for my early schools. I've finished my common app, but I'm still working on the supplements. Penn won't accept the commonapp without the supplement so I haven't sent any part of my app to them yet.
I already sent in my test scores, and my counseling office has released my transcript, high school profile, and other forms. My parents have been telling me that I'm way behind schedule and that I'm submitting my stuff to late. I plan on submitting my supplements by this weekend, and the only other thing that hasn't been sent in are my teacher recs. My question is am I really that far behind? If my teachers recs come in a bit late (assuming my app is already in) is that okay, or will colleges consider it late? If I send my app in just a few days before the deadline is that viewed negatively?

Sorry I realize these may be obvious and redundant questions, but if anyone can answer I'd appreciate it.

Haha, well the ED deadline is November 1, so your not behind schedule unless you are not going to be done by the 1st, I myself plan on submitting probably on halloween, I have submitted my guidance reports, teacher recs are almost done, and test scores will be sent shortly.

I think you’re fine as long as you submit everything by Nov. 1st. You’ll need to check with the individual schools to see if the teacher recs must be received by Nov. 1st. Make sure that you allow enough time this weekend to focus on the supplements so they don’t seem rushed. Good luck.

You’re fine! So long as you’re still not up doing supplements till midnight of November 1st, you are definitely on the right track. Some kids in my school have not even submitted the Common App yet for their early school, nor even finished their essays yet!
