I got my USH SAT 2 grade back and it was a 770. I have 800's on my other SATs (Chem and MATH II). Does a 770 on USH look particularly bad or should I just not worry about it?

It doesn’t look bad at all. In fact, it looks pretty amazing. Maybe it doesn’t have that same “feel” of a perfect score, but colleges will not really view much of a difference between a 770 and an 800 (even top colleges). The difference could have been just 1 or 2 questions, which equates to a careless error and maybe a few guesses that the 800 got correct and that the 770 didn’t. A 30 point score increase is going to make pretty much no difference in your admission, I think can be said to a degree of 99% certainty. Your 3 scores make you competitive with all other applicants. For the top colleges (I’m assuming thats where you’ll be applying) it will come down to your essay and extracurriculars, not the slight difference in SAT 2 score.

Yes. You are. I got a 720. I would kill to have gotten a 750+.

@wagsthedog: You make good points, thanks. Once I saw anything other than an 800, I nearly had a heart attack, but I guess it doesn’t really matter all the much. :o

@leadlol: That’s still not bad. My friend got a 650 on this US one.
