I'm awaiting EA results within a week or two...
And of course I'm a bit paranoid.

I applied to Georgetown NHS, Boston College, and Notre Dame. My number number one is Gtown.

Looking through these forums, I notice that people list up to 11 APs or more that they have taken.

However, the average from my school for top students is around 6. I am taking 5 hard APs as a senior. As a junior, I only took one AP and the rest honors courses (making a total of 6 APs). This is relatively normal in my school. I am the top 3% of my class with 1510 old 2250 new SATs, and good EC's (state district officer positions, etc.)

I am worried cause I haven't taken nearly the amount of APs these other kids have taken. Also, I never took an AP history, but instead took AP biology and Physics honors as a junior.

So, is my paranoia for nothing? (I swear, I'm not normally like this...this is actually quite embarassing) I don't expect to get into Notre Dame early, but I am really hoping for BC and of course...Gtown, my dream school (for human science). Thanks everyone.

You're okay with only 6--you don't need 11.

I hope you applied someplace besides these three colleges, however. Where is your safety school?--Boston College? Unless you have a 4.0 GPA UW and good extracurriculars, Boston College is not a safety/safe match school for you. Consider what would be a safety/safe match school you would be interested in going to. After all, there is a chance you could be turned down at all three of the colleges you listed--and then end up at the local community college next year if you don't get an app in at a safety school.

Thank you for answering the AP question. I appreciate it.

Don't worry, I'm not stupid. Those are my early action schools. I applied to plenty more, including three safeties. I'm already into one of them.

But anyway, I totally understand that Boston College is not safety or match for anyone. It's a popular school! I think it is a "match" for me (although not so much early), though. I have a 3.97 UW GPA, top 3% of class (no ranking) and really good extra-curriculars. I'm not saying I'm guaranteed in by any means, and I'm not trying to be pompous. My school does have a very good acceptance history with them, however, and on "Naviance," [a program showing your school's acceptance history to every college], everyone with my scores or a little bit lower have gotten in. So, hopefully, keeping my fingers crossed, I'll be one of those green acceptance dots as well. I love that school.

But I mean knowing this, should i be expecting three deferrals? Or do I have a shot at one of the three early action schools. Again, my early action schools are Georgetown school of nursing and health studies, boston college, and notre dame. Thanks
