Am I Brown University worthy?

Brown University has recently become my dream school. I've put togethor a list of my pro's and con's towards getting into the school, even if you cant really chance me, if you could provide any helpful advice at all it would be very much appreciated.

Right now I have...
-A 4.0 out of 4.0 GPA.
-Completed 29 hours, though I will be at 45 hours when this semester ends.
-I'm in my college honors program.
-I play #8 for my college tennis team, which is NCAA Division II.
-I'm involved in my college theatre as well as my towns local theatre. (Almost in an honors society for this)
-I live in a small rural town in south georgia.
-My uncle went to Brown and has likely given back to the school.

My Cons...
-I made a 28 on the ACT in highschool.
-My highschool GPA was only a 2.9
-My university is far from prestigious; it's called Georgia SouthWestern State University.

Its unfortunate that my application must be in by March 1'st even if I am applying for Spring 2010, because if I were to have a little bit longer I would be able to add these qualities to my resume... Do you think they would make much of a difference?
-I am going to Germany for the fall semester of 2009 to work at a tennis club and become fluent in german.
-I will have completed 45 hours of college with a 4.0 instead of only 29 hours.
-Will have completed a large ammount of comminuty service hours with Habitat for Humanity.
-I will be in at least two academic honors societies available on my campus.

Thanks you for reading me, even if you couldn't help. :)

Be realistic about your chances

Brown admissions will like your profile. Although your ACT score of 28 is below the average for Brown University admits, several recent admits had scores of 23 & 24 on the ACT without showing a perfect 4.0 for college work & without significant work experience & fluency in a language. You offer true geographical diversity in that Southwestern Georgia is rural & very unlike Atlanta, and your Habitat for Humanity work speaks loudly about your character. My impression is that you have matured a great deal since high school & that you have maximized your opportunities as you cannot do better than a 4.0 out of a 4.0. Also, a lot can be learned about people from attending schools like Southwestern Georgia. I hope that Brown University admits you.

ehh, if i were you i would apply to a school like UGA as well... I'm sorry, but i live in Georgia (Atlanta) and i've never even heard of your school. In no way do i mean to be harsh or offend you, but Brown is very picky about the students they pick. Even with a 4.0, i don't think they would except anyone not from a school of at least UGA caliber.

Not true. Brown University accepts community college transfers quite frequently.

Get one of your profs to write a stellar recommendation for you. Be discreet about it. I, too, believe your maturity will help you greatly. Are you in Americus? If so, I have a former buddy and roommate teaching in the English Dept. there. PM me if you like.

Show WHY your passionate about Brown. How will YOU help Brown? What is your course of study, etc. Good luck!
