I am going to be a sophomore and I am a little overwhelmed with my schedule and CCs. Any tips on how to manage this or anything I should not do.

I don’t recommend self studying AP Euro. It’s way too much material. Also, you’re already taking two APs as a sophomore which is really good. I’d recommend just self studying AP Psych.

If you got A’s in Algebra I and Geometry, your math is fine for Physics and Chem.

So I think that I will take AP Euro in place of AP Computer Science because im really not interested in it. So should I still self-study AP Psych and APES

I think you’re overshooting this a little. Personally, I don’t recommend self-studying any AP course. Also remember you’re only a sophomore, you still have two years to take the classes you want. If you’re worried this much, then there’s a problem. Challenging yourself is one thing, but how much you can handle is another.

Euro wasn’t that hard in my opinion. I think you could self study it just fine, but that’s just my opinion. If you want to self-study Euro and your school offers it, I say just go to that teacher and get some of the papers (chapter outlines if the teacher is nice enough to make those) and go from there

It is up to you, but really your schedule without self-studying any APs is more then enough. You are only going to be a sophomore, just enjoy your year and don’t kill yourself with all of this work.

My friend self-studied AP Euro as a freshman and he got a 5. It depends on the person.

Honestly though, I’d advise against overloading yourself so early on in high school. Eventually, you will exhaust your engines. Top tier colleges won’t care about the number of AP exams you self-study. If anything, it might just look like application padding and work against you come time for college apps.

Take this from the girl who took 4 AP classes and self-studied for 4 other AP exams, along with jobs + ECs + music during junior year and got an average of 3-4 hours of sleep per night. I got straight A’s, 5’s on almost all of my APs, and still maintained good standing in everything else, but I would never repeat it…
