Am i doomed

two days ago, i received an email titled “incomplete financial aid”
opened it, and it said that i hadnt turned in my

2008 Parents’ W2 Forms (Not Received)
2007 Parents’ Federal Tax Return (Not Received)
2007 Parents’ W2 Forms (Not Received)

i honestly didnt know i had to turn those in…for usc and other schools like nyu, i only had to turn in the fafsa and css so i neglected to check if other materials were required for barnard… and yes it is my fault!

i will turn the rest in tomorrow when my parents get back from a trip…so am i going to get a crappy fin aid package now that it is late? which will ensure i cannot go there…i live in california and a good finaid package is the only way i’ll be able to go to college in nyc.

so. am i doomed? anyone with an experience like this…?

You are not doomed. Just get them in ASAP....have them sent fed ex where they can be tracked and next-day.

When my d applied (she graduates this May!), we had to send in additional forms as well. No big deal. They (the Fin Aid people) are just trying to tie up loose ends.

And your next question will be "Does this mean I will get in??" . The answer is that Financial Aid and Admissions are indeed separate, so it does not mean anything with regards to your admit status. Just get the stuff in to them! You will be fine!!!
