Williams is my top choice, and I already submitted my ED application. This isn't really a "chance me" thread, but I would like your input on one of my concerns. I get mostly A's, especially in the subjects that I enjoy (English, Spanish, and French). However last year, as a junior, I got high B's (86-89) in three classes (APUSH, AP English Language, and AP Chem). This year I'm maintaining a A (93-96) in equivalent subject areas (AP U.S. Government, AP English Lit, and AP Physics) which will be on my transcript. Granted I've only finished one quarter, I believe I can keep an A average in those classes, but that's not the real concern. Math is my weakest subject and last year I received a C (73) in Trig. I know this is really bad, but this year I'm somehow maintaining a B- (81) in AP Calc. I'm currently 9th in my class of 329 and my GPA is a 4.1. I have an array of extra-curriculars including NHS, swimming, student council, orchestra, and two years at MMLA (a language immersion program sponsored by Middlebury College), etc. My SAT scores (670-M, 710-W, 740-R) are about in the middle 50% of Williams students (according to College Board). Another thing to take into account is my being Asian. I'm not really sure if this helps or hinders me because although I am a minority, I've heard being Asian is a disadvantage. Basically, I'm asking if that C will kill any chance of me getting accepted taking into account my other qualifications.
