I’m a white female, sophomore in high school in NY. I am interested in anthropology and classic studies (Greek/Roman studies)… My spanish, english and history grades are excellent (high 90’s always) my math is always around the mid to high 80’s and my sciences are low eighties. I am advanced in English and Science and my pSAT scores were slightly above average. I want to attend either Bowdoin, or Middlebury college as first choices (I obviously have high hopes). My question is, if i continue to improve my sciences and math is there any chance I could be accepted at Bowdoin?

It is hard to say whether or not you're qualified without knowing actual numbers. If you have an above average SAT and mostly As than you are certainly in the ball park. It comes down to a lot more than just grades and SATs.
So keep up with your good grades, score well on the SAT, and be involved in your community/do things you like...not just things for a resume.

Yeah. You're kind of young to know where exactly you want to go yet. Have fun, don't think about college! You will change your mind many times before the time comes.

I agree with oregano. However, I think your stats is good. So keep moving on. In one year, you may do a lot of things if you know how to .:)

Bowdoin is SAT optional. Be sure to check the application requirements of the schools to which you are applying. I believe Middlebury and Bates have out of the ordinary standardized test requirements.
