Am I going to be able to be accepted...

Hello I'm a junior right now and am wondering if I can get in with these grades I have and see if it is too late for me.

I'm just an average asian and don't have any AP courses. My grades for my 1.10 and 1.20 courses were fine. Some were A's and the others were B's. For my extracurricular activites I play tennis for 2 years and volunteered to help out in theatre. I didn't really do so well on my first attempt on the SATs (1) and will take it again. And do I have to get a score of at least verbal a 560 and math 580? Oh and my GPA right now is a 3.4. Is it too late for me to try and get everything perfect in order to get in?

What program are you interested in?

I think you have a good chance for sure.

just do your best. You know that already.

Don't really have enough information to know if you have a good shot at getting in.. If you get decent SAT or ACT scores then you will have a good shot but can't really tell without knowing those.

well my first SAT score was this: Math 470 Verbal: 500 Writing: 330
i've some extracurricular activities such as tennis, ping pong club, and also partial theatre work

my SAT score was bad because.... well i wasn't really prepared -_- but once i take it again i'll be ready, coffee and all ;)

Yeah you would definitely need to raise those scores a lot

the average SAT for northeastern is now above a 1200... you're definitely going to need to raise your scores substantially...

honestly, and i dont mean to hurt you by saying this... but aiming for northeastern seems a bit unreasonable. Even assuming that you do get accepted based on your current scores and GPA, I have a feeling that you may be miserable simply because the course work may be too difficult for you...

remember...getting accepted is only the beginning of the battle... you wouldn't want to get accepted and then fail out of northeastern after a year...it would be a huge waste of money...

what you might want to think about is perhaps a state school or community college first...test it out, see how you do. if you work hard and bring up your grades, you will have a great chance at getting into northeastern as a transfer. (i know, because that's how i got in...transferring from rutgers)

Question: So what if I get a 600M/600V/600/W on the SAT
Will I be accepted?

And by taking more than 2 attemps at the SAT, will it look bad for a college?

northeastern admissions have gotten very unpredictable- i know someone this year who was rejected from northeastern but got into cornell.
