Am I good enough for TAMS?

Hi, I am a freshman planning to apply for TAMS in the fall of 2020 and join as a junior, however with my grades I really don’t think I’m going to make it. Can someone view my grades and tell me what they think my odds are. My SAT is a 1380.

Geometry preap - 93
principles of applied engineering - 97
ap human geography - 88
english preap gt- 90
biology preap- 91
algebra 2 preaap- 92
spanish 2 preap - 94

I really think my grades are garbage, and I heard that you need to be very high scoring to get in, and I think I won’t get in with these. I’m in about 4 stem related clubs and I run cross country for my school as well as being an exec in 1 of the clubs.

Please don’t hesitate to be brutal with your responses. I want the most honest opinion because whenever I ask my counselor she always says “yeah you’ll get in” but someone with a cumulative 78 asked her and she said he had a good chance.

What major are you trying to transfer into? Are you in high school and trying to get into A&M after your sophomore year?

I am in high school (9th grade) and am applying for the computer science track. If I make tams, then I’ll be starting in 11th grade. (2021)

@T3NS0R I believe you need to post somewhere else - this group is for Texas A&M prospects. Try Prep School Admissions here on College Confidential. Best of luck to you!

@vonlost, can you move this post to the correct board? The post is regarding TAMS, not TAMU.
