Hey wasup? My parents got divoreced at the age of 3 and I was wondering this. My dad moved to Pensacola, FL about four years ago. I currently live in Chattanooga, TN. Since my dad lives in "FL," can't I be counted as an in state student, because one of my parents lives in FL. I basically go every other month to visit him, so help me out... I asked my dad the other day, and he said they should count me in state... I basically live in both TN and FL, so help me out... If I was in state, that would benefit me greatly... Thanks...

It looks to me that it kind of depends, but personally, I say don't have your hopes up (just in case) because you wouldnt want to get disappointed if they consider you out of state...

Here's the link of what qualifies a student to be in-state/out-state so you can show this to your parents and see what applies to you.

And if you do get in-state status, CELEBRATE! tha's alot of money you're saving!
