don't mean to take over your thread but i have a similar question...

i'm an american citizen as i was born in the states but i've lived in canada (and have canadian citizinship) since i was 6... so do i apply as intl or not?

Adeebah, you are not an international student. Besides, international students apply for admission in exactly the same way American students do (we just don't check the 'citizen' box :)).

google2008, you should contact one or two colleges about your status and see what they say.

google, yes you are. i was in the same situation and applied as an intl student. check with schools to be sure though.

If you aren't a permanent resident (HOLDER of the green card) or a US citizen, you are almost always considered an 'international' student and pay international rates unless you live in a state that grants in-state status to public colleges after X years of residency.

Adeebah is not an international because they have US citizenship.
