Am i lucky or what?

<p>so i just got accepted into cal poly slo… I checked yesterday, and the entire time, I thought it was Pomona… so I was just somewhat excited. However, I met up my friends during a ap lit study session and my friends told me it was SLO… I checked everything… even the congratulations video (the one with the 2 students) and it said SLO on it… The “accept admission” tab was also from SLO on the bottom of the page too…</p>

<p>Here are my stats:</p>

<p>GPA: 3.2 </p>

<p>ACT: 29 (34 math, 27 english)</p>

<p>6 ap courses</p>

<p>major: computer engineering</p>

<p>gosh that is so exciting for you but I am so frustrated that can’t happen to me!! (or hasn’t yet) i’m a transfer so its a little different but I applied to psych with a 3.2, all major related courses done, all GE’s done, 73 units, 20 hrs a week of work, all related to my major…</p>

<p>everything I have going for me is great EXCEPT my gpa. I am so nervous. ahhhhhhhhhh</p>

<p>you better be prepared to study your butt off. CPE, along with CS is intense in programming. My buddies who were straight A students in high school are barely pulling B’s and C’s in their programming classes.</p>

<p>Congratulations! You are lucky! Your GPA is low for CP engineering, so I agree with the post above that you will be working hard. Maybe not bad your first year, but certainly after that.</p>

<p>I am hoping OP got an email that told him of his “Cal Poly” admission decision, which included a link to the “Cal Poly” site…because my son can’t seem to log on to his portal, and an email would be nice…</p>

<p>haha i knew that i applied to both, but i thought that my cal poly was cal poly pomona… i got the sites confused thats all haha</p>

<p>Ricardo nothing against you but I also saw your posts on the USC forum and you said you were going to major in business/accounting so I thought you were pulling our leg.</p>

<p>yep i was gonna apply for business… but my counselor screwed up my transcripts for santa clara (ended up wasting $55)… then my junior gpa just dropped… i guess i gave up on school at the time despite my strong determination. I decided to go into computer engineering because i really enjoy computer programming/software, and also my brother in law works at Microsoft and I can hopefully land an internship there. </p>

<p>and for the terms and condtion, do we have to maintain our current GPA? like for me do i have to maintain a 3.2? cuz i currently do not have a 3.2… lol</p>

<p>my bad…i didn’t read carefully…I seriously do not know how you can get in with a 3.2…you are seriously one lucky guy, unless you transfer from a community college, thats more likely though. but congrats, welcome to the Mustang family!</p>
