I was told by peers that I would probably get LSP'd.. it was probably my best shot in but now that most of the letters have come in.. I'm starting to feel kind of disappointed. I've read many chance threads on here with higher stats than mine and I feel underqualified for a full acceptance.

I'm starting to panic because I called NYU today and they said I'll probably get my mail on the 15th, and by then it'll be kind of late to finish up other apps. If my chances at ED aren't good... I'll go crazy and start applying to many other colleges this weekend.. if not, I'll won't waste the money and time of applying to alot of other colleges.. any suggestions/advice?

I was told, too. But people with lower stats got into CAS, while some with stats like yours got into LSP. So it’s really a crapshoot I guess

okay wait evry1 is saying theyll be late sending in other apps…but all those are due in january right? or am i missing something? i only sent in USC and 2 others as my back ups that offered early action.

What are you talking about???

you’re easily going to get accepted… no worries.

i think its really weird that you have like four threads of the same thing over and over again. is it really necessary to get chanced four times?..

No, I made one before my sat scores were out to see whether or not I should EVEN apply to NYU.

Then after I applied, my SAT 2 scores came in and were terrible… so I wanted to see where I stood amongst the applicants

Now that I realized I’m not LSP’d (which I expected), Im considering applying to other colleges, at the same time I don’t want to waste 500 dollars applying, then get accepted so I made a thread to determine whether or not I should give up waiting for NYU and start applying to a lot of other colleges seeing that I was not LSP’d

I know its annoying and I apologize I am extremely worried and need to make a decision. I just wish NYU would send our notifications earlier not 2 weeks before the deadline of all other colleges

ugh, that’s what im afraid of. Id be very happy about getting LSP’d and completely amazed if i got accepted to CAS, its just rejection that I’m really worried about

Hey same here. Although I’m worried LSP for internationals may have passed, so I’m more likely to be looking at a rejection.

Colij Ejoocation, I think with your SATs score, gpa, and recs, you have a big chance of getting accepted. So I wouldn’t worry if I were you about not getting LSP’d yet, I think you are in.

Good Luck!

You’ll either get in, or you’ll end up in the hospital after having a stress-related meltdown…and then get in.

yeah u definitely have a really good chance of being accepted. probly not even for LSP

Wow you’re confident.

are u talkin to me sleepygrunt? cuz if u are…then idk if u know, but those ARE some pretty strong stats…so take ur wise remarks outta here

No I’m talking to a brick wall.

Granted, those are substantially good stats but no one gets in on stats alone. Maybe your counselors never told you that or you never got the memo.

oookaaay…are u having trouble at home or sumthin? ur really pessimistic…like get some help. seriously.

and take it else where cuz no one cares here lol ur ruining the forum. and ur being kinda rude to the original poster anyways.

thanks babygrl, i appreciate the optimism but at the same time, I want to make room in my mind for disappointment so I won’t have a mental breakdown if I get rejected. I saw the stats of an LSP accepted student who had a 3.54uw gpa and 2090 sat score (very qualified for CAS) but stats don’t determine everything. Regardless of how qualified my stats may seem, I just want to get into NYU in any way shape or form. I’d be very excited to get LSP’d
