Am I on the right track... any advice?

I am starting my freshman year this week and am aiming to be accepted into an ivy and if not it's no big deal, i'm not obsessed. My schedule for this year:

Pre-AICE English 1
Pre-AICE World History
AICE Math (Pre-Calc)
Pre-AICE Biology
Latin I
Orchestra 1
Career Research (required) / World Religions
Spanish 2

Clubs / ECs:
HOSA
Robotics
Science Research
Mu Alpha Theta
Volunteering at previous middle school: science research and math tutor
World Cultures
Spending LOTS of time on music!!!

I am considering math or science olympiad, they sound very interesting.
Are there any other club I should take that you all might think I will be interested in, I am a math/science and music person, want to go in the medical field.
I'll probably have a 4.0 gpa unweighted all 4 years in high school, i've have a 4.0 since 4th grade.

Everything seems great but don’t put too much pressure on yourself from the start. Remember focus on your GPA more than anything. Wish you goodluck for the next four years! :)

Thank you so much! :)

Sounds AMAZING.

-Find out if there is a non-cut sport at your school (one where they accept everyone (at my school it’s tennis, so there are about 100 players on the girls team, and about 120 on the boys team, they just sort you into Freshman, JV, and Varsity and you play) this would add a sport to let you experience being on a team and give you a more social aspect to your high school experience (it would just be one season at the least)

-What is AICE? I assume its an honors or AP?

-I’m not sure if you need World Cultures. Remember: You DON’T want to be just a member in 10 clubs, you want to have leadership positions in 2 or 3!

-What instrument do you play? Don’t JUST play at school, join a local youth orchestra program thing. Compete if you can.

-Volunteer, Volunteer, Volunteer and keep track of your hours

-Can you do an Honors Spanish course? That is something to work towards, be sure to keep up with the language (one day it might be the difference between getting the job or losing it to someone who is bilingual but just as qualified)

Good Luck!

I’ll try to find a sport… I’m not athletic, I’m skinny, I can run at a normal pace, but I don’t eat a lot of healthy stuff soo… AICE is AP, and all my classes are honors except Spanish…, I’m doing it on FLVS, they do not offer honors :frowning:
I play the violin and recently bought a guitar… going to learn that
Thanks alot!
