Am I headed in the right direction?

I'm a freshman (:P), and I was wondering if I'm on the right track to becoming a qualified applicant for selective schools (i.e. HYPSM). Right now, I'm taking:

Symphony Orchestra 2 (Audition Only)
IB Math Methods 1 (Precalculus)
Biology (All but 3 other freshman take physical science)
Honors World Studies
Honors English
French 1
I got a 4.0 first semester, but halfway through second semester, I have an 90% in math (A minus, counted as a 3.7); As in everything else though.

For my sophomore year, I've signed up for:
1) Graphic Design/PE (had to drop orchestra due to graduation requirements)
2) IB Math Methods 2 (IB Calculus/Math SL)
3)Chemistry (though I'm planning on requesting IB Chem, because I meet all the prerequisites)
4) Honors European Studies
5) Honors English
6) French 2

I intend on doing the IB diploma program in my junior and senior years, with math, English, Physics and Chemistry as HL subjects; unfortunately, I run out of options for math after my junior year, when I'll be taking IB Math HL.

My current ECs are kinda weak: I was a member of the tennis and swim teams this year (I sucked, and was on the C teams, but they were fun), and play the cello (fairly well) and piano (pretty badly). The orchestra I'm a part of at school is audition-only, and has rehearsals every Friday. Now that swim season is over, I have what seems like an eternity of free time every day; I end up spending this time trying to teach myself Chinese and Russian or IMing my friends (>_>)

Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!

There’s not much we can tell you at this point. Your chances will have a lot to do with your SAT scores and GPA.

Your best bet is to keep up your grades, really impress two or three teachers, and find one or two things you’re really interested in pursuing outside of school.
