Got any suggestions?
thanks.

You have no issues so far with the first 0.1% of being a premed. Keep it up.

get off of CC right now! you are a freaking freshman. please don’t ruin the next four years of your life by worrying about being a doctor

As the Premed Magic Eightball (patent pending) would say:
“Ask again later. Like in 3 years.”

In the meantime just make sure you do well in your classes.

General guidelines:

Have fun. Enjoy your youth and friends. Play.

Take physics, chemistry, anatomy and physiology and aim for AP Calculus.

Take a foreign language - as many years as you can fit.

Take literature and humanities and maybe a music course.

Read good books, newspapers and high-quality magazines even if you have to work to understand them. Stretch yourself on your own schedule with recreational reading.

Play sports…learn to be a team player and win and lose with honor and grace.

Volunteer at whatever worthy cause you like…pick the one you like best. Don’t spread yourself too thin…quality rather than quantity.

Be honest and develop a high degree of integrity if you haven’t already. Religious activities help with things like this.

Learn about medicine as much as you can…volunteer and see the seamy side.

Did I say have fun? :)

Be physically fit. (This effort never stops, btw)
