Am I over-reacting?

I checked my missing documents for Amherst on their site and I noticed that they flagged my 2009 W-2s (for my parents), as well as mine (even though I filed a Non-Filer’s statement) and my proof of citizenship. I called the office to ask what was going on, since I put the W2s in with the IDOC packet and since I don’t have W2s or tax returns for myself, the student.

The lady on the phone said that the Financial Aid office won’t be needing that to assemble a packet as of yet. They wait until the Admissions Office gives them the green light on an admitted student.

Then I started to think… It’s 3/15/10. Letters get mailed out in a few weeks. Does this mean that I got denied?

:(

Also - I was thinking of writing a LOCI saying how I won 1st place in the Regional National History Day Competition and am moving on to states. Should I send them a friendly letter stating that?

Thanks!!!

I think you are probably overreacting about the financial aid documents. Most school come up with “estimated” financial aid packages based on the FAFSA and CSS Profile anyway, then double check with the tax documents later. So relax and hang in there. I’m waiting and kind of freaking out too, lol.

I agree. And send the update on your awards…

Thanks for the input guys. I was really freaking out for a bit there.

Just sent out the letter today. :)
