Am I overreacting?

x_infatuation...

i'm glad people are being nice about it to you. but the reality is that your PSAT doesn't change over 20 points regardless of how much you study. innate ability.... good news is community college is cheap

It's no problem. The test is for juniors.
You can try ahead and have some quals for grad. school, what score do you think you will score?
However, don't let this relax yourself, you won't grow without growing process so pressure yourself and have fun.

Oh, it does change. Consider this: he didn't take Geometry yet and approximately third of PSAT is about Geometry.

And in StarBucks you're actually getting paid!

By the time you real PSAT you will have already taken Alg I, Geometry, and Algebra II, so you'll have so much more background in math. I took a practice PSAT between 8th and 9th grade and had a 540 in math, and now two years later I score in the 700s. You should study PSAT/SAT math for practice, but you shouldn't have any problem with it by the time you take the tests.

Guys, this thread is over a year old. The OP is probably on to bigger and better things by now, as we should, too.

Are you going to be a freshman the following school year? Don't be scared. What you took is preliminary and probally only included Only Algebra 1. For the real SATs It's Geometry, Alegebra 19(1,2) and Alegebra 2(3,4).

yeah, I took the SATs in 6, 7 and 8th Grade (actual tests where I sat with High Schoolers and stuff). I barely broke 1050, but I just did them because in my school if you broke a 1000 they gave you money. But seriously, dont worry about the SATs or PSATs, I didn't study for the PSAT and I did really good, enough to make me national merit. Anyway, just relax and approach the tests without freaking out.

Who on earth takes these tests in middle school?! You guys are crazy :)
