About the FAFSA signature

I just filled out the FAFSA and said that I'll mail in the parent signature because waiting for a new parent PIN would just be too annoying. The deadline for financial aid for some colleges is Feb. 1 so should I overnight the signature or just send it with priority mail (~2 days)? I sent the CSS PROFILE so FAFSA doesn't seem to be too important since it's only used for federal and state aid.

Do it online...

"It will take approximate 1-3 days for a new PIN request (or up to 4 hours for a Duplicate PIN request) to receive an email notification with instructions on how to retrieve it electronically, or 7-10 days to receive it in the mail via the U.S. Postal Service."

And don't make the mistake of thinking that FAFSA isn't "important." Filing it late means that you've missed the FA deadline, which generally requires a complete file. And that can mean that you're at the end of the line when money gets doled out. You could be losing money that you otherwise may have gotten.

OK so I already sent in the signature page. Can I still get a PIN now and sign it electronically since I had already checked at the end that I will send in the page?
