I am in summer vacation and I am going into 9th grade next year. I am learning algebra 1 so I can maybe take a placement test so I can head over to geometry. My main sources that I have used/am using are khan academy and algebra 1 for dummies(the book). I have around 2 weeks of summer vacation left as well as time to review. the concepts that I have learned so far including the prerequisites are Introduction to algebra
One-variable linear equations
One-variable linear inequalities
Units of measurement in modeling
Two-variable linear equations
Functions
Linear equations and functions word problems
Sequences
Systems of linear equations
Two-variable linear inequalities
Absolute value equations, functions, and inequalities
Expressions with rational exponents and radicals
Introduction to exponential functions
Introduction to polynomials
(arithmetic with polynomials)
Polynomial factorization
My question is do I have time to learn everything else?
Btw I know how to solve quadratics.

Are you sure your school will allow you to test out of Algebra 1? That is the one class that my school will not let anyone test out of. Also, if you are entering 9th grade and only taking algebra 1, it would seem that you are not advanced in math. (usually advanced students take it in middle school) so I doubt it is a good idea to try to get out of it at this point, it seems you are where you are supposed to be.
Also, please do not repost the same question over and over.
First of all, I would not try to test out if I found math to be difficult. Secondly, I think that they would not limit by making him/her take a course they already know.
I thought as much from the beginning, until Apple1893 came in, and then that got cut. Now, in one of the later posts you begin to speak objectively, “Secondly, I think that they would not limit by making **him/her **take a course **they **already know.”
My youngest son is in a similar position as you, OP, regarding testing out/placing out of Algebra 1, though it is because his end of middle school scores seem to indicate he can handle Algebra 2, thereby allowing him to stay on track to take geometry, trig w/pre-calc and calc by his senior year.
I have many of the same questions about his preparation and am kind of, though not heartily, preparing him for another placement test at the beginning of the school year.
