Am I realistic?

I am a hs junior who recently returned to school after missing 3 years (really) due to illness. Through an alternative program & online classes, I am caught up to my classmates credit wise & planning to graduate on time. Because of my health issues, I haven't been active in ec activities or had the chance to take AP classes, and because of my mix of classes I am not getting a class rank. The work I have done I have gotten A's. My PSATs were R-68, M-62, W-63. I will be taking the SATs in March & again in May &/or June. I am taking a community college class this winter & hopefully more next year.
My hope is to go to a small LAC. I like at Susquehanna, Lycoming, Juniata. Am planning to visit Chatham, Marietta, Wooster, Hiram, Hanover. My back-up plan (cheaper options) would be some of the state colleges in PA/NJ/NY/Ohio. I'm interested in communications, & writing.
I am hoping that if my scores are pretty strong for their applicant pool, these schools might be understanding about a transcript & resume that isn't as impressive as many here Assuming I can keep an 3.5+ average & do at least as well on the SATs as the PSATs, do these choices seem realistic? Any thoughts about schools who are open to good students who have been on a slightly different path?

I think that you should write one of your essays about your unique situation and about perserving despite health conditions. I do not know much about those schools, but look up the profiles of admitted students and see where you stand. Don't worry about class rank, many private schools do not rank anyway.

I am confident Hiram would appreciate you and it certainly meets your "small school" criterion. I like Hiram.

Don't worry about not having a rank.

y dont u try for something like muskingum?

Where are you? In state for Ohio or in state for PA?
