Am I screwd?

I have a 4.4 GPA and I'm ELC with a 2140 SAT and 7 AP classes total (my school only has 13).

But I have all B's so far for this semester's grades.

How will this affect me for UC Berkeley, UCLA, USC, and University of Texas?

I heard UCs don't even look at first semester senior year grades. They only look if they ask for it, which I'm pretty sure I wont be because I'm sure I wont be borderline. And same thing goes for USC. But I'm still not so sure.

Actually, senior grades are typically the most important factor in your decision. They are the single best predictor of freshman year performance, and if your grades are slipping, that’s not good.

Get them up!

Not true at UCs but they don’t want to see a drop. Your GPA and SAT are above average for all UCs so you have a strong shot. Good shot at USC.

What do u mean they don’t wanna see a drop? Does this mean I have to maintain the GPA I have right now? That’s almost impossible now. I heard its only a 3.0 UW for berekeley and LA. I can do that with all B’s

uc’s are focus mostly on grades and SAT. they focus on the grades of sophomore and junior year. I am from california myself and my high school is a college prep mostly for preparation to go to UC schools. you are fine as long as you maintain a decent GPA. Do not get C’s. You do not have to get a 4.0 by any means but with a 4.4 weighted GPA for your sophomore and junior year and a 2140 SAT score, I see an acceptance letter for you from any UC, despite your lack of stellar grades in senior year.

Yes, agree, don’t get Cs. USC and other privates won’t like any grade drop.
