Am I screwed or do I have good chances?

I'm a sophomore with a 3.1 cumulative unweighted gpa

My classes freshman year

Algebra 1
Bio 1
Phys ed
Keyboard
Spanish 1
Eng 1

No honors or ap. Had a couple of C's but mostly A's and B's

Classes now:

Eng honors 2
Geometry
AP world History
Chemistry
Law studies
Spanish 2

My grades are a lot better this year, I have gotten only 1 C so far (in ap world history) and the rest are A's and B's

Extra curriculars:

art club
Tennis JV (will be in varsity next year)

So what are some school i need to reach for? I really would like to do something business related and get into a good business college. I plan to take a lot of AP classes over the summer also.

So if I bring my gpa to a 3.5, and join a few business clubs at my high school, will my chances increase?

Also, my school isn't really all that great

So what should I be doing in the next 2 years at school? Focusing on what colleges?

Also, Would it help with admissions that English is not my first language and that I moved from Russia at the age of 10? Also, I had a pretty bad home life with parents divorcing and just things that stressed me out a lot. Good to include in the essay?

Bump …

State schools.

Bump…

Speaking from personal experience, taking AP classes over summers is pretty tough. The big AP tests are all at the end of the year in May, so you may not do as well on them as you do in the class.

Don’t stress too much about college as a Sophomore! Use this time and really focus on your grades. Start stressing closer to the end of your junior year.
Best of Luck!
