This is so disappointing. I am on probation for a theft charge from about a year ago, about to get off.
I went to ONE frat party and was pressured in to drinking.
After getting back to campus I blacked out against a building (apparently drank more than I was intending)
and woke up in the hospital. I was aware of no legal repercussions at this time. A week later I was visited by a campus cop that asked who had gotten me the alcohol. I told him it was supplied at the frat and that I have no idea which one it was. He left and was very respectful.
I received an e-mail from the dean stating that I would need to make an appointment over my violation of the code of conduct for Minor in Consumption.
Is it likely that I will be given a class and maybe some community service and an essay?
I am hoping that I won't be given any actual legal troubles from this. Is it common to not be given a ticket for something like this until you see the dean a week later? I will probably lose interest in life if I get a violation of my probation for this.
