I have registered for classes as a Psychology major...and I made the hugest mistake, and now wish I would have registered as a Biology major.

I cannot use the math College Algebra if I do decide to switch for Spring semester...

Have I already shot myself in the foot? Because I will be behind on the math and science classes...

I will take summer semesters, if you think that will help.

Advice? Ideas?

Your college has an advising center. Go talk to them. You can also change your major there (or they will tell you where to go).

I thought you wanted to be a psychology major? If you are switching back and forth between psychology/nursing/biology, then make your major be undecided for now (or just leave it as what it is now and just take your desired major classes and switch to that later on if you like it). It really doesn't even matter what your major is right away. If you want to take biology major classes, then go talk to advising and tell them that you decided that you want to switch some classes. If I remember right, you were mainly taking general eds. You might still need to take the same classes.

You aren't even in college now and you are freaking out too much. CALM DOWN.

OKgirl is right. Calm down.

There's a very slim chance that a college freshmen could shot himself/herself in the foot before their 1st semester even started.

Go talk to your advisor. You can still drop a class or even withdrawl (?)especially if it hasn't started yet.

Oh, and here's a nifty idea: why don't you just post more of your specific questions on one of your 75 (!) threads instead of making more threads? Not trying to be mean or offensive in anyway, but I think it's better then making a new thread for every new concern.

I'm thinking that aheartlikehis should be bound and gagged.

Chill.

Talk to your advisor.

Draw up a 4-year plan that you would like to stick to. Your advisor may be able to provide you with a typical or recommended 4-year sequence.

Chill.

Realize that just because you made a 4-year plan does NOT mean you will stick to it. Class Q is full, you're no longer interested in Elective H but Elective K sounds appealing now, you didn't realize X class was only offered in the spring, class A and class B are only offered at the exact same time, you decide in sophomore year you want to study abroad, etc.---these all happen. The courses I've taken and the ones I plan to take are nowhere close to the 4-year plan I originally drew up.

Go hang out with your high school friends.

Learn as you go. Part of college is trying something new, making mistakes, and learning from them.

A teacher of mine in high school had this on her wall, and not to be rude or blunt, but it describes you: "The greatest mistake you can make is to always fear that you will make one."
