I am about to end my first year and college in 4 days. I went into college wanting to be a Veterinarian, so I chose to be a Biology major, with a minor in Communication. First semester was a pain, but a piece of cake.I ended realizing that I was more interested in communication so I changed that to my major and made Biology my minor. However this semester has sucked. I honestly think maybe I should have taken a year off before starting college, but my parents don't agree with that.(Yep I go to a local university and live at home) I am taking Calculus and Chemistry. Calculus is awful and I should have dropped it, but I was talked out of it. So now I know for sure I am probably failing it. I thought Chemistry would be a piece of cake ,but unfortunatly I might be failing that too...I'm not too worried, but I just don't know what to do. If I survive this semester should I just change my minor so I won't have to take Chem., because I hate it! I don't want to look at Calculus anymore either, but I think I need another math. By the way both of those teachers who teach those classes aren't great teachers. What should I do?!

Take a deep breathe, relax and believe me when I promise you that it is not anything in the least bit to stress about. I know you are probably thinking “easy for you to say” and it’s not really advice that is tangible and changes your situation at all. But it is just the first thoughts from someone who did not realize until he was 27 that an education was important and made every mistake you can think of. The one thing that seems to remain the same throughout the entire process is that it is never even close to as bad as I think it is. Not even a little close. I would try to get done as many of the core classes that you know you will have to take no matter what and give yourself time to explore u til you find out what you really want to do. You will be fine. Try to enjoy learning about everything. Never thought I would say that but turns out to be pretty amazing! Hang in
