Am I stretched out too thin?

I will be taking 3 APs and 3 honors as a junior (the gold standard at our school, really. most kids take 1 AP in 11th if any). I will self-study AP English Language (I'm a skilled writer and will have done 3 years of advanced english), AP Human Geography (interesting and manageable), and AP US Government (to supplement my lack of history AP in school). With these 6 and the 2 APs I self-studied in 10th grade, I'm aiming to be one of the thousand or so juniors who get National AP Scholar before 12th. Is this realistic or am I dreaming too high?

No, its definetely possible. That depends on the other ones that youre taking, but just make sure you get quality not just quantity; basically it all depends on your work ethic, cause I’m taking 7 next year. =P

^Broski, that’s overload. 5 AP tests are enough for me.

Wait, how is that 6 APs in your junior year? You said you were taking 3 APs and 3 honors.

^ The 3 he pointed out specifically are self-studies I’m guessing.

Which other 3 are you taking?

Oh, I see. I was confused. But still, I managed to score 5 on all 6 of my APs during junior year (granted, two of them were self-studies of the very simple Human Geography and Psych). I think anyone can do it with a little bit of effort.

Calc BC (school), Chem (school), Spanish Lang (school).

Calc and Chem have very good reps of getting all 5s and 4s in all the past years. Spanish lang is more independent work, but I’ve been doing it consistently over the summer.

I’m doing 3 APs next year as a sophomore…AP World History, AP Calculus AB, and AP Environmental Science. There’s people out there who deal with a lot more than you do…if they can do it, so can you.

Nice. A one-two punch. Encouraging yet insulting. I like it.
