i want to be pretty young forever.
when i reach like 23-25, i don't ever want to age after that.
i want to be able to stay young, go to concerts, parties, wear whatever is in style, listen to all the hottest music thats out..ever since i went to college it reminded that WOAH there is life outside of youth (high school), and i just don't want to leave it. i feel like when i graduate college (even though i'll only be 21), i'm going to find myself being jealous of all the kids just starting college and starting their fun life. i never want to stop hearing, "well you're young soo...blah blah" and things like that. i'm 18 and i really just want to stay this age forever, but i'm turning 19 in october :(

Well, growing older is inevitable, but it doesn’t have to suck if you don’t let it. You are also assuming that your values won’t change over time.

yeah i always think and hope that my outlook of life will change, and right now i’m hoping it’s the fact that i’m naive and don’t have any wisdom.
…but it’s really hard for me to believe that far into the future i will not be look at girls in the early twenties and not being jealous of their young life.

Also, I think with medical advances we will be able to be more active for longer than those in previous generations. i.e. don’t look at old people now and assume that will necessarily be your situation.

Concerts: plenty of old people go to concerts

Parties: Yeah you won’t be getting ****faced drunk every weekend, it’s called growing up.

Wear what’s in style: Again, you could probably do this. But you won’t be able to wear that ‘hot new miniskirt’ or ‘sick top’ in the workplace… again, growing up.

Listen to the hottest music: asides from maybe having to turn the volume up higher as you get older, you can still do that.

Hopefully as you get older you earn more and more money. You can use that money to, idk, go on awesome trips that you will remember way better than the countless parties you went to in college.

i also hate comments like…“enjoy being young…and you’re young so you can still do this or be able to do this…”
so it sucks being older, like what the heck??!!

Those are generally from jaded older folks who never really grew up.

My father turned 50 a few weeks ago. Know what he did? He went skydiving. Just because you’re inching closer toward collecting retirement doesn’t mean you can’t do fun things. You just have other priorities.

Why the hell would you want to be 18 forever? you can’t even legally go out for drinks with your friends, 18 yr olds are babied in our culture. personally I’m looking forward to my twenties, graduating college and being financially independent (hopefully lol). I hate being 18, poor all the time, and so dependent on my parents for everything.

To look younger longer, take good care of yourself! wear sunscreen, moisturize, use a face cleanser and brush your teeth twice a day, don’t smoke, don’t cake your face in makeup, try eating healthy, work out, etc - all this will keep you “younger” longer : )
