Am I too late for college?

Ok, so I've been frantic about this for a few days. Full story here: College Acceptance Help! Please!? - Yahoo! Answers

Yes, I posted the question.

Yes, I'm scared out of my mind.

Please help, give your honest opinion.

With those GPAs, you can definitely work on improving to apply to local public universities, but my advice would be community college.

It’s not bad, actually. If you work and are dedicated to your studies, you’ll do well at a community college. Then you can transfer to a public university. It’s cheaper, too.

You can read this for inspiration: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/admissions-hindsight-lessons-learned/940151-different-success-story-please-read-if-youre-still-high-school.html

I’d like to point out that the people who posted on Yahoo! Answers were not only demeaning, but also downright out of line. Telling you that you “don’t belong” at a college is completely unacceptable and, to be frank, I’m rather disgusted. Anyway.

I agree with BillyMc. You do have a chance at going to local public colleges, but going to a community or junior college for two years would probably be the best option for you.

Honestly, I agree with the two above me. Since most colleges requires an essay or two, write about your experience and what you learned from it. Tell them about what you felt as a freshmen and how you grew. Continue to improve and get better grades and I am sure that you will get into some public schools, and if not you can always go to community/junior college before transferring into a bigger school.

^definetly make that your essay! discuss how you’re improving and i think colleges will be impressed by the effort! good luck :)
