Letters of Rec:
-One from Tom Doak, quite possibly one of the worlds most prolific and notable golf course architects
-Another from my AP English teacher who knows me very well and will expand on my writing ability
-I alos have an extremely good relationship with my high school counselor and she should give me an excellent evaluation
-Science rec should be good as well

not a prayer.

I wouldn't burn my ED chance on it ... but if you can come up with a really good essay about why you are interested in golf course architecture and how Cornell is the very best place in the universe for you to study it ... you have a shot.

Which one of the colleges/schools are you applying to?

I don't know why the previous posters were so harsh on you, I think you stand as good a chance as anybody. Definately highlight your love for writing. I know that Cornell really cares about writing skills,a nd have very intense writing seminars. I'm sure you'll have a good essay if you enjoy writing. Your SAT's aren't wonderful but they're definately not bad. Grades are totally fine.

"I know that Cornell really cares about writing skills,a nd have very intense writing seminars."

lol I'm not sure how true this statement is. Most of the students in my writing seminars could not write a lick. The writing seminars themselves were mostly a waste of time. I had to take upper-level English courses before someone challenged me to write a polished, coherent essay.
