Hi. I'm a math major and I am interested in i-banking and working in the financial sector in general.

I've taken the basic math courses, such as intro to analysis, complex analysis, diffeq, algebra, linear algebra, numerical analysis, probability, and statistics. I have some 'electives' left, which are courses outside the math dept. with significant math content.

Right now, I am thinking about taking stochastic processes, some operations research courses, and some stats courses. I only have two semesters left, so I won't be able to take a lot of the applied math 'elective' courses.

Are there certain classes that are very important for working in finances? Should I take more 'pure' math courses or more applied math courses?

Thank you
