AMC 10 Improvement?!

I'm taking practice AMC10s right now for February and I am getting around 90s and 102s. I really really really want to qualify for AIME this year (120)! I have the Art of Problem Solving Volume 1 and First Steps for Math Olympians from the MAA and I have been looking at/solving those. With about a 1 and 1/2 months left, do you think I'll be able to make a 120? What else can I do to get a 120? Any advice would be good! I'm a freshman in high school and am currently taking Algebra 2 Honors. Thank you so much!

…anyone?

Yes, you should be able to. I would recommend doing past AMC 10 exams, in addition to the AoPS Volume I. Focus primarily on problems 10-20. Practice, practice, and more practice is key. Invest 1-2 hours daily (or every other day) and you will reach a 120 very easily.

First Steps for Math Olympians is a good book but it doesn’t contain a whole lot of problems…I suggest doing past AMC’s, or looking at some of the AoPS Intro- or Intermediate-level books.
