AMC 10 vs AMC 12 for AIME

<p>im a sophomore taking precalc and i want to get into AIME. For a sophomore would it be easier for me to get into AIME thru AMC 10 or 12? Also is AoPS a good book for amc 10 and 12?</p>

<p>It’s easier to make the AIME through the AMC 12. But if you want to make USAJMO, you should take the AMC 10.</p>

<p>You can take both if you want:(10A and 12B or 10B and 12A)</p>

<p>If you can do all the problems in aops volume 1, you should be good for AMC 10</p>
