I took the AMC 12 and got a 144. Unfortunately, I can't take the AIME. I was depending on USAMO qualification for my application. Will MIT admissions take into consideration that I was unable to take the AIME and think I would do equally as well as in the AMC?

A 144 is very impressive (I'm assuming this is on the old grading scale ....so you missed one question?!?!!) Great job! MIT will take into consideration that you could not take the AIME; be sure to write a little note to them on the app. They won't assume or predict what your score on the AIME will be. The AIME is administered twice during March so it does suck that both dates don't work for you.

I was in a similar position last year, except I did take the AIME and made USAMO, but in the end, I don't think it altered their decision too much from what it would've been if I didn't take AIME, although I'm not sure about that. Your AMC score should be fine :) Good job!

Ohh that happened to me this year; I qualified for and took the AIME last year but this year, we just happened to have snow days on both AMC 12 test taking days.. :(

I was really depending on the USAMO qualification to show my ability in math. Do you think the 144 is enough to show that? Or would it be not as good?

yeah, like physics said, be sure to write a note.. 144 is near perfect, good job!

In all honesty. I had never heard of those tests until it showed them on MIT's application. And I still got in. :). so no need to fret.
