High AMC score, insanely low AIME.

Hi friends,
I'm taking the AIME today but very nervous abt getting a score around 2.
Considering the fact i got a pretty high score on the 12, (an 127.5) if i take a 2, when i apply to such colleges such like MIT, Northwestern, would the aime score hurt me?
Or would i be better off if i just don't report my AIME score?
Tnx!

Don’t worry about it. Don’t talk about the test again until after all the tests are sent in to the AMC headquarters for scoring.

NU is a ComApp school, so there’s no specific place for an AIME score. You can just leave it off, but they probably wouldn’t care ayway.
MIT’s app has a place for AIME, but I don’t think they’d care too much if it were low.

If the score is low, just list “AIME Qualifier” under honors and awards and leave it at that.

If you got a 127.5 on the AMC12 THIS YEAR then there’s no way you’re getting a 2 on the AIME. The AMC12 this year, both dates, was brutal; that’s why the cutoff for AIME was so low (88.5). Good luck; I’m sure you did fine.

Ouch! ><
As i predicted, i got an insanely low score on the AIME. Though its just ridicilously easy. Prolly cuz my nervousness, i made tons of stupid mistakes and ended up with a freaking 4 instead of a 12(Right! i made 8 silly mistakes.) Um, well, can anyone tell me if i should put my AIME score on the college apps or leave it blank just reporting my AMC score(127.5)?

Well, i know they wont listen to any of my reasons for getting such a low score on the AIME. But how am i going to explain that blank? And i still kinda want to pop out my AMC score (Well, state highest, as a female).
