I have an audition for AMDA in 10 days and I want to know what to expect. I've been reading a lot about the school, some good stuff, and some bad stuff. I read that they're starting to accept less students, and I want to know is that true. Do they just accept anyone? No SCAMDA stuff please. I'm nervous, someone please help me

I can’t speak to the program in detail however I can tell you about my audition experience. I auditioned last Sunday in Boston. I was auditioning for acting and we were all told in emails and such to prepare 2 contrasting monolouges. I had a Classical and Contemporary and one alternate Contemporary just in case. I think there were 15 other acting auditioners. Before the auditions they had us walk though the room and we were told to only do one monolouge. I did my classical, I was worried they would not want to hear classical but it went well. The man auditioning me thanked me and told me it was well prepared. I thanked him and left. Then I interviewed with an admissions person. After we had a meeting about the school that was very helpful in any questions you may have about the school.

so it was pretty relaxed? were you nervous? are they friendly?

It was very professional, not as relaxed as some of my previous auditions however I was not nervous. They were pretty friendly, again it was not as relaxed as previous auditions however I did feel comfortable.

did you hear anything yet?

Nope I won’t for another week or two.
