As a deferred applicant, how exactly should I go about making changes to the application that I sent for EA? I’d assume that I should just make the changes directly in the common app, but how would Caltech receive those changes? And would I have to submit the application again through common app or is that already accounted for by responding to the letter of intent to be reviewed in the regular round?
Also, with regards to additional supplemental essays for a deferred application, how many are typically recommended to be submitted?
Thanks for the help
You can’t change the actual app. If you have additional accomplishments, email them to the main admissions email with enough information to make sure they can figure out that it goes with your application, and ask them to please consider it as part of your application.
I don’t know who recommended additional essays, but I can’t see how that would help you. I assume you have submitted the essays they requested. Don’t submit more.
. If you are doing research, add a note about that and possibly a LOR. If you are doing well in a class, that teacher may know you fairly well by now and could add a LOR. In other words, what have you done since you sent in original application that makes you a stronger candidate?
Good luck
