I was deferred in SCEA, but since applying I have made some significant (and some smaller) changes to my common application. I have improved my essays, clarified my involvement and achievement in the activity section, and made some other minor changes. Is it possible that Yale see these changes for regular decision? Is there anything I can do? Anyone that I should contact?

I know you can send updates on things that are happening, but I'm looking to adjust/change what I have sent for SCEA.

Yale is still by far my top school, so I worry that they are not seeing my best, for my old application was a little rushed.

Unless things have changed since my kids applied to college, you cannot make changes to the Common Application once you’ve submitted it to a college. You can create an ALTERNATE VERSION, then make changes, and submit the alternate version to other colleges – but you cannot submit the alternate version to a school that you’ve already applied to.

What you can and should do is write a strong letter of interest that provides Admissions with updates to your application. Sometimes students will submit an additional essay with their update, but as Admissions already has your original essay, they can always refer back to it – it’s not like they can ignore it, or the impression it first made. So, I don’t think submitting a revised essay with the same topic will help your cause.
