<p>Anywhere here participate in the program?</p>

<p>I really want to. I signed up as early as possible (pretty much the same day they sent of the email earlier in the year) and should be fairly high up on the waitlist, but does anyone know what the chances of getting into the program are?</p>

<p>Also, when did you hear? I think we are supposed to hear back mid to late August, but I'm wondering if it's more like any day now or don't-hold-your-breath until you're actually at NYU.</p>

<p>I've always heard that pretty much anyone who wants to do the America Reads program from NYU gets the job, because NYU students have done really well in the program in the past. I haven't participated in it myself, so I don't have anymore information to offer, but I think you should get it...</p>

<p>Great, thanks. I didn't know if it was only a small percentage and the rest were wait listed or if, like you said, it was a majority. That's good to know then...</p>
