American Classroom Program

Hi all,

I have received my conditional admission at NU. They said that because I do not meet their required TOEFL score so I need to attend American Classroom Program along with my course in Business Department. They also required that after the first semester of Fall 2013, I need to get certain TOEFL score and GPA in Business Department to "progress" to my major in D'Amore-McKim School of Business in Spring 2014.

Does anyone there have the same situation?

For students like Pinksky who might be interested: Think twice before accepting to enroll!
My own experience is a disastrous one: no contact with American students. We are parked with the international crowd (90% Chinese), separated from NEUs freshman class. No student community, no diversity. Courses are junior High School level, and I was not allowed to choose my classes…I decided to quit and will change schools and orientation. I will never recommend it for anyone, unless you want to waste time, money, and energy!

As this comment might never be posted on Northeastern American Classroom Program page on FB, I am just forwarding it to College Confidential:
“Disastrous and costly experience with the American classroom program in the Fall of 2015. Ill-organized and very poorly designed program, with no contact with the freshman class. If you want to waste your money and discourage your children from getting higher education, go ahead, and sign-up! The people from the American Classroom Program are just milking the international cow, with no counterpart.”
