American Culture

What is that about the American Culture requirement? What classes will fulfill this requirement?

There is an actual page on the Berkeley website listing a bunch of AC classes, or you can search the class Schedule for "AC" classes. You should be able to find it by googling "berkeley american culture." They range from political science to anthropology to geography to sociology, and I think there are even a couple of science ones, like biology or ecology based ones. There are lower and upper division AC classes. They look very interesting, actually, I have two listed on my "potential schedule" for fall.

They have one class at my CC that fills that requirement.

Only one? I think there are 7 or so classes at CCSF that fulfill it, although I didn't take any of them. It isn't required for admission to Cal, it is simply required to graduate.

Yea but I thought I would save some money and stress by taking that class.

Hm, maybe it depends on your major (or minor) or college. My AC requirement will be fulfilled by taking one of two or so classes for either my major or minor, or I could take it as one of my upper division electives for L&S.

All undergraduates at Berkeley MUST take American Cultures in order to graduate.

"The American Cultures requirement is a Berkeley campus requirement, the one course that all undergraduate students at Cal need to take and pass in order to graduate. The requirement was instituted in 1991 to introduce students to the diverse cultures of the United States through a comparative framework. Courses are offered in more than forty departments in many different disciplines at both the lower and upper division level."
