List one thing that you love about it:

List one thing that you hate about it:

List one thing that fascinates you the most:

For me, the one thing that I love the most in America is DISNEYLAND/DISNEYWORLD
However, I really hate the fact that most of them are ignorant and completely oblivious of the world news.
And finally, I'm always amazed how over weighted Americans can be.

Music,movies and sports

Lacks a defining identity like other countries

How many American’s don’t know America is a Federal Republic.

Love: variety
Hate: closed minded, easily brainwashed ness
Fascinates: History in the process, and how it repeats itself. Also how if the things that happened now, happened at a different time, they’d be comp. diff.

List one thing that you love about it: Free thought and expression

List one thing that you hate about it: Commercialism and Hollywoodization

List one thing that fascinates you the most: 19th Century Intellectualism

List one thing that you love about it:Freedom, and Being able to do anything you want to

List one thing that you hate about it:How Americans think they are better than the rest

List one thing that fascinates you the most: Abraham Lincoln and JFK have so many similarities

Love: The general freedom we have compared to other countries
Hate: The arrogance of American People.
Fascination: The intelligence shown by Obama naysayers.

Love: The natural beauty of various American landscapes
Hate: American ignorance, inherent jingoism and xenophobia.

Fascinated by: Americans’ love for processed cheese.

Love: Freedom.
Hate: The general ignorance.

Fascinated by: Our history.

List one thing that you love about it: individualism, freedom, competitiveness

List one thing that you hate about it: commercialization, big business, etc. Small businesses and independent artists rock! (Not that American culture lacks them, but just that the market is so much more dominated by big business and more restrained by regulation than it should be.)

List one thing that fascinates you the most: America’s cultural diversity

Love: The freedom we have.
Hate: Some people are still very ignorant.
Fascinates: Diversity, some parts of our history

EDIT: Haha, I just realized how similar my post is to aaallliii’s.

Love: freedom, leniency, diversity
Hate: we pretty much took something from every other country and blended it into one. unoriginal. Many who take advantage of public education, meaning they don’t care.
Fascination: how America contradicts itself all the time.

What is the American culture?

I wrote an essay on its development from 1450 to 1800 once.

I mean, I would say the first thing isn’t entirely true or even inherently bad. Also, what was the other option? Apart from Native Americans, we immigrated here…so it makes sense. Also, with that blending, something of our own was created (something that isn’t really defined, but yeah).

Also what does this second part even mean?

The second part doesn’t really apply to CCers. I’ve seen a lot of kids who don’t even care about going to school or trying to learn anything. All they do is party. And the parents don’t care too much either. Usually to them it’s all about work and $$. I’m not trying to be racist or anything, but I agree with what my physics teacher said–usually children of immigrants try harder and seek to learn more than native Americans.

^That isn’t racist…it’s more of a cultural explanation of why education is emphasized.

What I will say about this is I know this is cheesy, but I think everyone has something to offer even if they don’t think so or do so themselves. So, I’m not so quick to write people off. Those extreme party people can end up caring a lot about education in the future, you just don’t know.

Statistically, this doesn’t “usually” happen with saturated populations. Considering that, immigrant status is likely not causal.

List one thing that you love about it: Free-enterprise, individualism, etc. Social mobility. The '20s, the '80s. Admittedly not one thing, but…
List one thing that you hate about it: How we totally ****ed up our foreign policy in the 20th century. And I’m not just talking about Vietnam.
List one thing that fascinates you the most: Regional accents!

Haha yeah I didn’t know the exact word so i used racist xP

Well it’s more of how disgusted I am with the idea of people taking advantage of education. I mean I know that some ppl try harder once they’re in college. But when some of them were in HS, they don’t even try. I’m going to sound very conservative for saying this lol, but there are a lot of kids in the world who don’t even get the chance to have an education. It’s like the right to vote. Do not let it waste, because our ancestors have fought hard for this right.

What fascinates me: independence - children start working in HS and move out after HS/college. Also old people live alone. In India it’s the complete opposite. Children don’t get a job till after college and usually live with their parents even after college (that’s changing slowly now) and parents live with children after they get old.
