Most of the Red States (even if you turn a blind eye to the politics... the red states, for the most part, just plain suck [I mean, come on, who actually WANTS to live in Texas?]) SOMEWHAT DISAGREE (red states tend to be more homogeneous, which I like)

Exurbanization DONT KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS

Cultural Homogenization DEPENDS (I like Americanization, but hate the way people think we need to accept certain idiot beliefs or have to learn Spanish because certain people are too damn lazy.)

Tendancy to forget about the First Amendment during wars DISAGREE (if you are not a terrorist, what is the problem?)

Current Rise in Religious Fundamentalism SOMEWHAT AGREE (I believe in strong morality, but people need to stay out of my television, bed room, and strip clubs)

Love: College Confidential

Hate: College Confidential Cafe

ok goodbye!

The main reason I hate the drudge report is "..."
ENOUGH WITH THE DAMN THREE PERIODS!

And Fox News just strikes me as... well, less professional than the other networks.

I put both The New York Times and Wall Street Journal in the love category because they are both in-depth and approach the news by diving into it rather than just skimming the surface.

I'd Like to Add:

Love:
Good Universities

Hate:
The unaffordability of the same
Most forms of Patriotism

how can you hate the cafe? It's my 2nd favorite forum !

you guys have the same conversations and debates over and over and its always a shouting match and no matter how loud either of you yell, nobody will change the other person's opinion.

let me ask you one question: do you think gays should be allowed to get married?

Aw, taffy, you're no fun.

for all of its evils, there's a lot of fun to bed had here too! :p There are so many nice people here that only come here that you miss if you don't come to the cafe. And while I agree the shouting matches are ridiculous, there's a lot of great things about it too

The Cafe is a nice place to unwind and talk about anything or nothing when you get sick of saying or listening to "OMG WHAT ARE MY CHANCES?????"

yes and it's helpful. Like I wasn't sure how to cook my macaroni today, so this was a good place to ask without ticking people off because it's OT everywhere else.

I never did like that macaroni. Too cheesy. Add that to the "hate" list.

Love: Education System
Liberated Women
Red States

Hate: Corporations
Obesity and Laziness
High rates of depression
Anti-Muslim Hatred (Ignorance)

What??? macaroni rocks. especially box macaroni!

How can you say that? It's like pre-packaged cheese with salt added. Ick.

Relatedly,
Will someone explain to me how you can love the red states? There's nothing to do... and you need a car to get anywhere... and you end up with the same big box stores over and over and over and over and over. How can you possibly love a red state?

Hate:

Bill O'reilly

I live in a red state and I don't even like it. They are bo-ring

ps. salt and pre-packaged cheese is pretty tasty

I guess it's an aquired taste.

And I second Bill Clinton in the love category. He was a good guy, albiet a promisciuous one.
