American history and AP world history

@Ivylege Agree with what @skieurope said. AP Physics 1 & 2 are algebra based.
For my son, who would skip on all humanities classes if he could, yes, AP Language takes up a lot of time ?

I expect AP US History is more popular, generally speaking. There’s a new book on Amazon for it, it is beautiful. America’s History. It is an expensive AP book, and very long 3476 pages. The cheap one is called Advanced Placement United States History, 807 pages. The only good world history book is World Civilizations: The Global Experience, Revised AP Edition. 946 pages.

Double posting, that AP world civilizations book is a leftover from the times when they were tying to replace composition Gen Ed with International Gen Ed, and also doing away with dual enrollment. If you are going to have composition for Gen Ed there is no need for college credit world history. Remembering the controversial painting the cleric, the knight, and the workman, it seams the educational planners have given up on freshman world history and want to replace it with citizenship studies.
