Google your Tribal Affiliation for the requirements to claim membership.
Some require 1/4th blood others 1/8th blood for membership, it will vary.
Get your family to help.

Are you involved with the native community? Have you engaged in the culture? If not, it’s disingenuous to put it down (so many people have NA in their blood somewhere down the line). You’ll have to prove to the tribe what your heritage is and go through the enrollment process to get a number for when you apply.

Agree with Batllo…get going now to find your documentation.
You may find it helpful to attend the Stanford Powwow May 6-8, 2011. Natives from many colleges gather for the weekend to hang out, compete and have fun. The events are open to the public, and lots of HS students attend.
